The Tycoon Class Tournament gives Monopoly GO players a chance to earn extra rewards by competing against other Tycoons on a limited-time leaderboard. Dice, cash, sticker packs, event currency, and temporary boosts can all be part of the prize pool, making the event worth playing even for beginners. If you are also preparing for a future Monopoly Go Racer Event, tournaments like this can be a useful way to build up your dice supply and collect resources along the way.
What Is the Tycoon Class Tournament?
Tycoon Class is a competitive leaderboard event rather than a simple solo milestone challenge. Players are placed into a group and earn points during the event, with final ranking rewards based on their position when the timer expires.
The exact duration and rewards can change from one tournament to another, so it is always worth checking the event screen before spending a large number of dice.
One advantage of Tycoon Class is that it often overlaps with other Monopoly GO activities. A single good roll may contribute to the tournament, a milestone event, Quick Wins, or another limited-time challenge at the same time.
How To Earn Tournament Points
Railroad spaces are the main target during the tournament. Landing on one starts either a Shutdown or Bank Heist, and these mini-games award the points needed to climb the leaderboard.
1. Shutdown
In a Shutdown, you attack another player's landmark.
• A successful attack usually gives a better result.
• A blocked attack may still provide points or progress.
• Repeated Railroad landings are the key to increasing your tournament score.
2. Bank Heist
A Bank Heist can produce different rewards depending on the result you get. Smaller Heists, larger payouts, and jackpot-style outcomes can all help increase your score.
For players who want to stay active during competitive events, some also choose to buy Monopoly Go Racer Event resources or related services when preparing for bigger challenges and limited-time reward periods.
Best Dice Strategy for Beginners
The biggest mistake new players make is rolling at the highest multiplier all the time. That can drain your dice surprisingly quickly without guaranteeing a Railroad landing.
Instead, try to manage your multiplier based on the board:
1. Use a lower multiplier when Railroads are far away.
2. Increase your multiplier when a Railroad is within a reasonable range.
3. Check for overlapping events before starting a long session.
4. Collect easy milestone rewards before chasing leaderboard positions.
5. Keep some dice in reserve instead of spending everything at once.
If High Roller, Mega Heist, or other useful flash events are active, a well-timed session can be much more rewarding. The goal is to get value from several events with the same dice rolls.
Is It Worth Chasing the Leaderboard?
For beginners, reaching first place is not always the best strategy. Other players can suddenly spend a large amount of dice near the end of the tournament, causing the rankings to change quickly.
A safer approach is to focus on:
• Easy milestone rewards
• A reasonable leaderboard position
• Free dice and sticker packs
• Progress toward other active events
You can then decide whether the rewards at the top of the leaderboard are worth spending more dice.
Final Thoughts
Tycoon Class is a solid event for players who enjoy the competitive side of Monopoly GO. Railroad landings become more valuable, Bank Heists and Shutdowns have a clear purpose, and every good run can push you closer to another reward.
For newer players, the smartest approach is simple: play efficiently, watch your dice balance, and take advantage of overlapping events whenever possible. Whether you are collecting stickers, saving dice, or planning ahead for the next Monopoly Go Racer Event buy opportunity, Tycoon Class can provide useful rewards without requiring you to spend your entire dice supply.
